NVIDIA and Microsoft partner on secure agentic AI for Windows PCs (OpenShell runtime, RTX AI PCs)
Separately from their data-center GPU supply relationship, NVIDIA and Microsoft announced at IFA 2026 a distinct software/platform partnership to bring secure, locally-run AI agents to Windows PCs: new Windows security primitives paired with NVIDIA's OpenShell runtime to let on-device agents run under full user control, targeting RTX AI PC hardware. Microsoft is also integrating NVIDIA's open-source physical AI skills and tools with Azure and its Physical AI Toolchain. This is a consumer/edge-software collaboration, distinct from and not reducible to the Azure data-center GPU supply relationship.
