Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information InsightNodes ("we," "us") collects when you use insightnodes.com and insightnodes.ca ("the Service"), and how it is used.

1. No Account Required for Core Features

You can browse the knowledge graph, use Explore, and ask questions without creating an account. Signing in with your email is only required to use Watchlist and Portfolio Exposure, which are tied to your account so your selections persist and stay private to you.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Account information: if you sign in, your email address, used solely to send you a one-time sign-in link and to associate your Watchlist and Portfolio Exposure selections with your account. We do not use passwords.
• Usage data: pages visited, questions asked to Ask Intelligence, and general interaction patterns, used to improve the Service.
• Watchlist selections: entities you add to your Watchlist, linked to your account once you are signed in.
• Standard server logs: IP address, browser type, and access times, collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and diagnostic purposes.

We do not currently collect payment information.

3. Third-Party Processors

We rely on a small number of third-party service providers to operate the Service, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms:

• Supabase: hosts our database and authentication infrastructure, including account email addresses and Watchlist data.
• Anthropic:when you use Ask Intelligence, your question text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. We do not send your account identity or email address as part of this request.
• Our hosting provider: serves the Service and processes standard server logs described above.

4. Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in between visits. We may also use cookies or similar technologies for basic site functionality and aggregate analytics (e.g., standard web analytics, Google Search Console). We do not use this data to build individual advertising profiles, and InsightNodes does not display third-party advertising.

5. How We Use Information

Any information collected is used solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service — for example, authenticating you, remembering your Watchlist, understanding which features are used, and identifying technical issues. We do not sell personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

Account information (your email address) and Watchlist data are retained for as long as your account remains active. Usage and log data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, after which it may be deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated Watchlist data at any time by contacting us at legal@insightnodes.com. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights over information we hold about you.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Future Changes (Payments)

If InsightNodes introduces paid subscription features in the future, this Policy will be updated in advance to describe what additional information is collected (such as billing details) and how it is protected, and continued use of any new paid feature will be subject to the updated Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
