NVIDIA reportedly in advanced talks to acquire Hugging Face for ~$12.9B
NVIDIA was reported in late August 2026 to be in advanced negotiations to acquire AI model-hosting platform Hugging Face for approximately $12.9 billion, which would be its largest acquisition on record and would extend its reach beyond chips into AI software and model distribution. As of the report, talks had not yet produced a signed agreement and the deal could still fall apart.
