Microsoft's Fairwater and Azure NVIDIA capacity figures measure different things

Public figures on Microsoft's NVIDIA capacity measure different things and should not be added together. Confirmed: 4,600+ Blackwell Ultra GPUs in Wisconsin (Oct 2025), about 140kW per rack in Atlanta, and about 1GW of capacity added per quarter company-wide in FY2026. Announced by NVIDIA: 100,000+ Blackwell Ultra GPUs and hundreds of thousands of Blackwell GPUs globally. Trade press reports a 2GW, roughly $20B Wisconsin build-out; Microsoft has not confirmed it.
